Humber Economic Partnership (HEP) is the strategic partnership for sustainable economic development for the Hull and Humber Ports City Region/Humber Sub Region.

HEP leads on issues that can be dealt with effectively at only a City Region level:

The Partnership covers the whole city region and is made up from leaders of both public and private sectors from both banks of the Humber who believe in the merits and importance of joint action to create the sustainable growth and greater competitiveness of the economy of the area.

HEP is core-funded by the four Local Authorities that cover the area (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Hull City Council, North East Lincolnshire Council and North Lincolnshire Council).

HEP has a Board of 15 Directors, including the four Council Leaders, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Hull, a member of the Regional Learning & Skills Council and nine private sector directors.

The Board is advised by the virtual HEP Strategy Team, comprising the four Council Economic Development Directors, a University Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Yorkshire Forward Assistant Director for the Humber and the HEP Executive Manager.

The HEP Executive Team put into action the Board’s decisions.
